George Nelson-Inspired Bed (Danish Mid Century Modern Style Bed)

Description

This bed is my own take on the iconic George Nelson Bed from the heyday of Mid Century Modern. It’s built from solid walnut and consists of a thin platform resting on turned legs and a headboard supported by steel brackets. It has a hand-rubbed oil finish. It’s the perfect minimal, modern platform bed. I can also build this with storage underneath, as shown in the third image. Please inquire for pricing with storage.

The headboard can vary in size to your liking as seen in the pictures. Generally speaking, I offer the headboard in three sizes: 15″, 20″, and 30″. The 30″ headboard adds $100 to the price. I place the height of your headboard according to the height of your mattress and your preference as to where it sits in relation to the mattress (i.e. it could float a few inches above the mattress, sit right at the top edge of the mattress, or descend behind the mattress).

The price listed here is for a queen, king and cal king add $100 to the price. I can deliver to the LA area for $100, and I can ship everywhere else. Shipping is about $400 to most places, but can vary slightly based on a few variables, please inquire for more details. Nightstands and other companion pieces also available upon request.
